James - Director
An entertainment sector advocate since the age of 17 years and 4 months when first getting his driving license, James promptly established that working on events can in fact be a professional career choice if you put in the hours. He has spent 20 years developing a garage-based fireworks PA system package (which all fitted in a Toyota Hi-Ace – a red one!) into a reputable brand of technical know-how, stocking a comprehensive inventory of AV equipment, and delivering exceptional event production solutions internationally.

James feels strongly that Lego is perhaps one of the best inventions on the planet. Especially the kits which take days to build, and involve good food and fine wine with similar-minded friends willing to participate during the festive break when there is time to unload the latest Technic kit onto the kitchen table.
What say you?
“We have an incredible group of people here at EnterTec who together represent the very quintessential of efficiency, dedication, quality and consistency in technical event production. You’ll not find a team which delivers like this one anywhere else in the industry.”
Jess - Head of HR
Following a sterling 9 years in the city supporting some of the most highly regarded names in global corporate law, we are absolutely delighted that Jess has chosen to share her talent, influence, and innovation with us, where she is further empowering our people, and ensuring our exceptional reputation remains as a pleasant, rewarding operation to collaborate with in any capacity. Successful business comes from an engaged, proactive, fulfilled team, and with Jess at the helm of our people strategy – we have the best possible guidance here we could ever wish for.
Share a quirk!
Hidden beneath the exceptionally professional façade is a profound love of horses, and a deep affiliation with the calmness gained from time spent in the Cotswolds. When she’s not exploring a colleague’s potential or streamlining a set of policies, Jess can be found enjoying long walks in the countryside with her young family, and gracing her nearest and dearest with the privilege of sharing in her vast range of hosting capabilities
What say you?
“It became almost instantly clear to me that the team at EnterTec are fuelled by a genuine passion for their clients, their colleagues and the individual roles that they each hold in working together to deliver against their targets, big or small. In just three weeks, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply everyone cares about delivering excellence and supporting one another. It’s inspiring to be part of a team where collaboration and dedication drive success every day.”
Chris - Project Manager
Background
The self-proclaimed Swiss-Army knife of the industry has spent years building an outstanding reputation as a calm, collected, pragmatic solutions guy… and we are honoured to benefit from him being on our Project Management team full time so we can all learn a small piece of his significant on site knowledge base. Chris really has been there, and done that. Twice. And got the T-shirt.
Share a quirk!
Chris is an avid fan of Top Gear, Grand Tour, and quality family time… plus – he sometimes brings his golden retriever Webber to visit us here at HQ! If you’re lucky, you’ll find Webber patrolling the office from time to time ensuring we’re all keeping out of trouble, and cajoling treats out of everyone he stops to sit next to.
What say you?
“To do a job well, you need to enjoy your job. To enjoy your job, you need a working environment to enable and empower you. As someone who has a lengthy background in the events industry, I have first-hand experience of many different working environments, and I see here at EnterTec a great work ethic, extensive professional attitudes, and a cool collaborative environment.”
Mike - Project Manager
Background
If it needs doing, Mike has been getting it done since CRT TV’s were being rented out on wheeled Unicol trolley stands as relay monitors in smoky hotel ballrooms. When Mike joined us in 2016, we promised him more current technology at his fingertips, and his considered and justified approach to every single technical quandary presented by a customer has never wavered… if you need a solution, Mike will find it with you – on time, and on budget.
Share a quirk!
Mike likes taking a chug on the canal with his 72 footer, and revels in the solace and steady pace which accompanies such a trip. When back on hard ground and the weather is a little more pleasant, he also consumes many miles on his beloved Honda Goldwing he calls Violet. In short, Mike takes it slow and steady… but he always gets where he wants to go.
What say you?
“There is always something going on here. Whether it be pre-building a custom for the next project, exploring new tech, or discussing new creative ideas. Never a dull moment, and plenty to engage with – all day every day.”
Clive - Project Manager
Background
After accumulating a vast amount of experience in design and creation of presentation content dating back to Kodak Carousel projectors, Clive joined our team in January 2020 to service a very specific client contract delivering 200 shows a year for a prestigious financial services brand. Despite Covid’s best efforts to cut things short, he has been triple checking every slide from each of his 300+ shows which have left the building ever since. If you have a multi-venue roadshow project on the cards which needs consistent, reliable, unwavering support – Clive can deliver it for you.
Share a quirk!
Clive takes great pride in his Ford Focus ST, and can be found almost every weekend without fail giving it a 3 hour valet, inside and out… he’s even made it onto some promotional videos for his favourite car cleaning products company. If you can find the video, be sure to share it – Clive gets extra free samples!
What say you?
“I’m often heard to be telling jokes and bantering with my colleagues… it enables me to test how funny my new jokes are before I go out on a week of roadshows. Unfortunately I don’t get too many laughs… so I have to try particularly hard on the road with clients and presenters. Thankfully I’m always supported by quality hardware and gear which just works every time… one of several reasons I enjoy working at EnterTec.”
Adam - Project Manager
Background
A true audio professional at heart, Adam has expanded his wealth of experience with our L-Acoustics rental inventory; from speakers on sticks to multi-array distributed system designs. His capabilities don’t stop there however, and as we recovered from the pandemic Adam has honed his skills to efficiently coordinate the significant amount of AV dry hire regularly asked of us, which has naturally led to his progression into Project Management as that element of our service offering has flourished.
Share a quirk!
When not at work, Adam loves a “project”, and can often be found dismantling or rebuilding a MacBook, frowning at a Lego manual, or tinkering with his treasured classic mini. In recent years he’s also developed a keenness for recreational running which, in his words, keeps him fit and healthy for the rigours of on-site work… and offsets the beer which needs drinking after a long day at the grindstone.
What say you?
“After six years I still like the family feeling here, which extends not only to the staff but also to our core customers, giving them the reassurance we care about every client – no matter the size of the event or hire requirement. I particularly enjoy the challenge specifying and deploying new tech, so every event can be delivered seamlessly, whilst offering an exciting new touch.”
Jo - Admin Manager
Background
There really isn’t much to do with business organisational admin and transport operational management that Jo hasn’t done. She ensures everyone gets paid, and everyone pays us… all whilst balancing the unending list of leave requests, the training and compliance rota, our vehicle maintenance obligations, and consistent adjustments to fleet line-up which accompany an ever-evolving business model. Every successful company has a leading pillar of reliability and capability behind its administration. Jo is ours, and we adore her for it.
Share a quirk!
Aside from supporting an exhaustive list of her children’s endless extra-curricular activities, Jo is an active outdoor person at heart, and especially enjoys competitive hobbies in her spare time… the most exciting of which involves using her British Motorsport Race Licence to pacify the girl racer deep inside!
What say you?
“Although you could liken me to being part of the JTHQ “fixtures and fittings” having been a member of the team for a decade, I seem to have successfully avoided being labelled up and scanned as part of our inventory system so far…! The variety in my job role and the colleagues I work with keep me coming back for more, along with the unlimited support I get juggling being a busy mum as well… Oh – and the endless Nespresso coffees too!”
Sandra - Administrator
Background
Good things always come in multiples, and we’re incredibly fortunate to have several office-based stars… including Sandra! Using skills honed from years of experience supporting other leading industry players – anything we need, from office supplies to consumables orders, or 60m of sustainable green carpet to sorting a 4am airport transfer at 4pm the afternoon before… Sandra will find it, check it for value and operational efficiency, and facilitate it.
Share a quirk!
Sandra loves writing, and has several novels from Middle Grade to Women’s Fiction languishing on the hard drive. She is currently obsessed with late 1950’s/early 1960’s London, and is loving delving into the fashion and music from that era – constantly going down endless rabbit holes researching the emerging British Rock ‘n Roll scene.
What say you?
“Such a great team – love the staff and banter. There is always a wonderful atmosphere in the office.”
Alison - Facilities Assistant
Background
Another example of a hidden gem not often seen by our clients, Ali is the silent hero who makes sure we enjoy well-stocked, well-maintained canteen and welfare facilities, turns up to help that out of hours van load / unload / firework PA job, and loves bringing “a brew and a biscuit” out on site or into the yard when we just need a bit of a treat to get us through! Never one to be under-estimated for making her point exceptionally clear, Ali has a sharp tongue, and heaven forbid if you leave anything in the fridge by the end of the day on Friday…
Share a quirk!
As a keen motorcycle enthusiast, Ali has an abundance of accessories to keep her toasty warm and fully amused during her road-going weekends out and about as a pillion passenger – and can sometimes be spotted at summer group meets or bike-themed sales with a big grin and mischievous look in her eye wherever the most impressive leathers are being showcased.
What say you?
“This lot need a fair amount of looking after. It’s a good job I’m here really, or they’d not know what to do with themselves. But they’re a good bunch. A great bunch actually.”
Kaylan - AV Engineer
Background
After spending much of the past five years touring the USA with a renowned magic show as their Stage Manager and chief problem solver, Kaylan has rekindled her industry roots and returned to UK shores for a working life with more easily quantified risks to mitigate… and it is our privilege to benefit from her sharp eye and creative flair in ensuring every project with her involvement still fully engages the audience and participants, all whilst fulfilling the easier bit for her – making sure your presenters are seen and heard!
Share a quirk!
As if being a brilliant and creative people person wasn’t enough, Kaylan is also classically graded in singing and musical theatre. When we find an opportunity to showcase this as part of a client’s brief, rest assured you’ll see it on our social media channels… but in the meantime, it’s just us at the office who benefit from Kaylan’s magic.
What say you?
“I love working in the EnterTec environment because of the versatility in solutions being deployed for different clients, and the amazing team of people we create those solutions with. My background in stage management paves the way for an exciting journey ahead to transfer these skills into coordinating new and impactful experiences for our clients.”
Lee - AV Engineer
Background
Dubbed the “Dark Sith Lord” of lighting by his colleagues, Lee’s vast experience in festivals and lighting system distribution makes him invaluable as our lighting department specialist. His attention to detail and exceptional dedication to meeting deadlines integrates perfectly with all our corporate operations… and when your show has a party night, or a need for strobes… Lee is your guy.
Share a quirk!
As a hardened cruise liner technical team leader for Disney from his earlier industry years, Lee has long mastered the art of surviving long days, last minute changes, and “finding the solution – whatever is needed”. He also has a persistent talent for trying new gadgets, buying mini-rigs, and ensuring everyone in the office or working on site has an abundance of Haribo and sweet treats to take the edge off another day on the job.
What say you?
“There is ALWAYS room for more lights on the rig! Whatever I’m allowed to take on a job, I always enjoy deploying the hardware to maximum effect, and ensuring a memorable experience for the client – ideally with an Avo console to do it with. It’s great to be working with modern, quality inventory, and a supportive team vibe – day in, day out.”
Pak-Li - AV Engineer
Background
Pak’s appetite is legendary, and surpassed only by his ability to accumulate 20,000 steps a day around the warehouse as he oversees all aspects of our audio hire department. From enquiry to project delivery, Pak is involved in the specification, prep, operation, and post-event checks which ensure your participants and performers are heard crystal clear every time… as long as there is good catering on site, and breakfast is included in the room.
Share a quirk!
Albeit in a similar food-related vein, we simply had to comment on the fact that Pak routinely brings in a comprehensive mobile kitchen set up to share his culinary experiments in the canteen. Regularly cooking up a batch of breakfast rolls is a regular highlight – and as Pak often says – “nothing can satiate this beast from the east!”
What say you?
“The company genuinely feels less of a workplace and more like a second family to me. I really enjoy being tasked with plenty of activities and ongoing challenges, and striving to exceed expectations for my clients on site. If I’m not working or eating, then I’ll be spending time with the wife and kid. And that’s me!”
Kyle - AV Engineer
Background
If you need someone to support and reassure your client on site, regardless of what fire-fighting might be happening in the background to meet a technical brief’s inevitably changing parameters, you are certain to appreciate having Kyle as part of your team. Combining corporate audio and video expertise with an unwavering smile is a fail-proof formula, and Kyle is really rather good at it.
Share a quirk!
As an avid music lover, Kyle spends his spare time levelling up on his drum kit, or releasing some creative flair by painting to canvas. When those two activities prove too boring for his young toddler Noah, the time is then better spent building towers from blocks, before being immediately destroyed as loudly and creatively as possible.
What say you?
“I thoroughly enjoy the camaraderie and infectious spirit at EnterTec, the staff work together as a unified team using all of their collective knowledge and experience combined with first class equipment to get the job at hand done well.”
Peter - W/H Technican
Background
If it uses volts, Peter (AKA DJ Tracey) has probably had one of them apart at some point. A truly invaluable background asset to the team, he ensures our kit is electrically safe, compliant, and correctly de-prepped from every job when it returns to the warehouse. After spending years as a contractor working on domestic sites doing everything from plastering to PAT testing, Tracey prefers the more regulated pace and rigorous standards of technical event production, and thoroughly enjoys getting out on deliveries, rig, and de-rig activities when he’s not fighting a mound of imminently outdated tests…
Share a quirk!
DJ Tracey can often be found performing at local establishments for weddings, parties, birthdays and celebrations – something he loves doing almost as much as delving through his ancient juke box assortment. If you need an electrical component from the 70’s, Tracey will have it somewhere in one of his many famous sheds… and if he can’t find it, his wife Pauline can!

Johny - W/H Technician
Background
Johny brings a wealth of organisational know-how to our warehouse environment, and also offers up his technical expertise to some of our events with a plethora of rigging and de-rigging activities… that is when he’s not busy supporting the Alban Arena’s technical team delivering their varied entertainment schedule to crowds of excited punters, or working on another musical masterpiece of his own!
Share a quirk!
As a hardened advocate for recreational sport, Johny spends much of his free time scaling whatever bouldering surface he can get near. When it’s time to stop and recuperate, the focus shifts to musical and gaming relaxation, unless there is some new tech to research and try out. Amongst all of that, there is always an opportunity to enjoy quality family time.
What say you?
“What I like most about the company and the live event industry generally is the opportunity to travel to different places, provide different services, and interact with new and familiar people so regularly.”
